Material Modeling of Concrete

Explore the core material models used to predict the behavior of early-age concrete.

This section details the fundamental thermal properties, such as heat of hydration and adiabatic temperature rise, alongside the critical mechanical properties that define compressive strength and elastic modulus development over time. These properties are essential in thermal stress predictions.

The tools here serve two purposes: recorded experimental data can be fitted to obtain the model parameters, or virtual models based on the chemistry of the cement, the concrete mix design, the initial concrete temperature and more can be used to obtain the parameters for thermal stress analysis.
